    <description>Lori Roman is the founder and president of Regular Folks United, Libertas Global Partners, and Conservative Speaker Bureau. She is the former executive director of the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC), a public policy organization state legislators, members of Congress and members of the British and European Parliaments. Formerly Ms. Roman served as the Chief of Staff of the Center for Faith-Based and Community Initiatives at the U.S. Department of Education where she was responsible for strategic planning and management of resources to achieve the goals set forth in the President's Management Agenda. Ms. Roman came to the U.S. Department of Education to serve as Director of School Choice. Subsequent to this role, she held the position of Senior Advisor on Family Educational Rights in the Office of Innovation and Improvement at the Department.

Prior to coming to Washington, Ms. Roman founded and ran a public policy non-profit in Michigan and taught business and ethics at a private college in Michigan for six years. Over the years, she has provided expertise to numerous for profit and non profit organizations, schools, political campaigns and referendum campaigns. Her diverse career has also included work in television and the automotive industry. Ms. Roman is a veteran of public policy debate. An accomplished speaker and writer, she has been featured in various radio and television outlets, such as the Colbert Report, Glenn Beck Show, and Hannity's America, as well as magazines and newspapers such as the Washington Post, LA Times, New York Post, New York Times and the Washington Examiner.  Her editorials have appeared in numerous publications. She holds a Bachelor's in Business Administration and a Master's of Science in Administration.</description>
