    <title>Barb Werner's Townhall.com Column</title>
    <description>Barb Werner is the owner and manager of Black-Eyed Susan Inc.  Werner conceived of and opened this retail store,originally located in Herndon, Virginia in 1995, after twenty years of hands on experience in landscape design, installation and retail.  She started the business in order to follow her passion for landscaping, gardens, and design. She relocated the store to Vienna, Virginia in 2000.  Werner is the mother of three children, each of whom have worked at her store.  Werner, the middle of five children,  was born in Illinois on a Navy base.  Her family moved to the Washington D.C. area, and she graduated from a high school in Vienna, Va.; the same school where her children would eventually graduate.  She looks forward to celebrating the 16  year anniversary of  Black-Eyed Susan in April 2011, and hopes to celebrate many more. </description>
