Born in Arcadia, Calif., Amy spent her childhood in Claremont, Calif. She graduated from Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego with a bachelor's in journalism. She worked for the university's newspaper, "The Point Weekly," for three years, as reporter, section editor and copy editor. Amy is currently a copy editor with Copley News Service. She writes the weekly Bulletin Board column.
