As the youngest member of Congress at 31 years old, Congressman Aaron Schock represents the 18th District of Illinois. Before coming to Congress, Aaron entered public service by serving as a member of the Peoria School Board when he was just 19 years old. At 22, his school board colleagues voted to make Schock vice president of the board and a year later they voted unanimously to make him board president of one of the largest school districts in Illinois at the age of 23, and the youngest school board president in Illinois history. Simultaneously at the age of 23, Aaron was elected to the Illinois General Assembly. Now in his second term in Congress, Schock serves on the highly coveted Ways and Means committee.
