William A. Rusher is a Distinguished Fellow of the Claremont Institute. He served as publisher of National Review magazine from 1957 to 1988. A veteran spokesman for the conservative viewpoint on public issues, Rusher has become known across the United States in the past forty years. He has been a familiar television and radio personality. A newspaper columnist since 1973, his syndicated weekly "The Conservative Advocate" appears in newspapers all over the United States. In 1956 and 1957 he was associate counsel to the U.S. Senate's Internal Security Subcommittee before joining National Review.

Mr. Rusher also remains a member of the Board of Advisors of the Ashbrook Center for Public Affairs, a member of the board of directors of National Review Inc., and chairman of the board of advisors of the Media Research Center.
